Garanti Leasing Signs a Protocol Regarding Transactions for SME Loans with the Credit Guaranty Fund (KGF)
The protocol signed by and between Garanti Leasing and the KGF, allows SMEs without sufficient guaranty to perform leasing transactions with KGF guaranty.
Under the protocol signed by and between KGF and Garanti Leasing, guaranties of KGF can be applied to the loans lent by Garanti Leasing. With the said protocol, a leasing company in Turkey apart from banks will first perform such operations.
According to this protocol, small and medium scale enterprises with less than 250 employees will be able to get a credit guaranty up to the TRY (New Turkish Lira) equivalent of EUR 400,000 from KGF, provided that they fulfill the required conditions for the leasing transactions with Garanti Leasing.
Mr. Selami Ekin, General Manager of Garanti Leasing said that they were very glad because of being the first leasing company that KGF has collaborated with, and further said "Garanti Leasing, giving importance to SMEs, has collaborated with KGF, a reputable organization, and has further facilitated financing of projects of SMEs."

KGF, established in 1991, provides guaranties to SMEs for their loans borrowed from banks and financing organizations.
KGF was established by TESK (Confederation of Turkish Merchants and Craftsmen), TOBB (Association of Turkish Commercial Chambers and Stock Exchanges), TOSYÖV (Foundation of Turkish Small and Medium Scale Enterprises, Self-employed People and Managers) and MEKSA (Foundation for Provision of Professional Trainings and Small Businesses) as founder partners, after which KOSGEB (Administration for Improvement and Provision of Small and Medium Scale Businesses) and Türkiye Halk Bankası A.Ş. participated in this partnership.
The guaranty liability fund, which constitutes the collateral for the guarantee / security undertaken by KGF has been provided by the German Organization for Technical Collaboration (GTZ) and KOSGEB (Administration for Improvement and Provision of Small and Medium Scale Businesses).
